Dr. Emily Kiel

Veterinarian

Dr. Kiel grew up in northwest Louisiana with a longing to care for animals.  She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College (IL) with a major in French and a minor in Biology.  She graduated with honors from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 (Go Tigers!).  She completed a small animal internal medicine internship at Riverlands Animal Hospital in LaPlace, LA.  In 2017 she moved to Jensen Beach after practicing in Texas and loves being a Florida resident with the beautiful landscapes and opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.  She is a member of Phi Zeta, Phi Kappa Phi, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and the Treasure Coast Veterinary Medical Association.  Her special interests include anesthesia, pain management, cardiology, and end-of-life care.  Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is the long term relationships built between the veterinarian, pet, and client.  In her free time, Dr. Kiel enjoys reading, baking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Kim Craney

Veterinarian

Veterinary medicine was a second career for Dr. Kim Craney, who chose to go back to veterinary school after 17 rewarding years as a neonatal intensive care nurse.

Dr. Craney graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University, worked in North Carolina for a year, and then decided to move down to the wonderful Florida Keys to escape icy winters before transitioning to Jensen Beach.

There are several similarities among the two professions Dr. Craney has experienced; the most common being that none of her patients can verbalize exactly where the problem is. Those experiences have helped hone her assessment skills as she examines her veterinary patients and helps owners see signs of arthritis pain and discomfort in their older pets.

In her free time Dr. Craney enjoys kayaking, snorkeling, diving, and paddleboarding.
